What brought you to Iron Keel Strength?
Basically I was sitting in a bar drinking beers with my boys and talking about how it was time to start losing some fat. I guess Nick, one of the coaches at Iron Keel, overheard me and told me I should come do a workout with him. After a month or two I made it in, died, came back to life, and been coming back in ever since
What made you stay?
Definitely the coaches and the environment. The coaches know their stuff and are very motivational. Everyone is really friendly and it’s a plus that everyone pretty much cracks jokes all day even though we’re basically getting killed in the workouts
How long have you been with Iron Keel Strength?
About 3 months going on 4.
What are some your goals? Have they been met?
To get my body fat % down and gain more muscle, but mainly to look great in my tux next summer when I get married and even better on the honeymoon
Summo deadlift 315# but that was a little over a month ago so may be time to try a new PR
Benefits you have noticed? Any changes to brag about?
Definitely can see changes in my abdominal area on top of being more defined in my arms and legs. Also feels good to play full court basketball and not be exhausted after the first or second game.
What do you do out there in the real world?
I’m an operator at Marathon in Texas City
What’s your favorite workout?
Everything that doesn’t have too many burpees lol
What is your biggest Iron Keel Strength accomplishment?
Just making it in the door. Between work and kids it can be tough to prioritize getting in the door but with the environment here it worth it especially when you see results
