What brought you to Iron Keel Strength?
BAD. ASS. COACHING.
And it didn’t hurt that I went to High School with the owner.
What made you stay?
Definitely the coaching. They pay so much attention to detail with form and technique. Also, I love that when I create a goal for myself the Iron Keel coaches take it on too and make it a priority to help me achieve my goal. They are so invested.
How long have you been with Iron Keel Strength?

What are some your goals? Have they been met?
I have lots of things I would like to improve. One of my most recent goals was to master double unders. Coach Pam started carving out a few minutes of time around workouts to fit in practice for me. Last week I was able to string 21 together!
Other goals for near future are to get my first strict pull up and fix my shitty toe to bar technique.
I like power cleans and power snatches but I would really, really like to get better at squat cleans and squat snatches. Oh, and thrusters should be removed from the face of the earth!
Benefits you have noticed? Any changes to brag about?
Just in the past 6 months I have lost 8 pounds and down 1.5 inches off my hips.
What do you do out there in the real world?
I am a research assistant in a lab at UTMB that studies a pediatric respiratory virus, RSV.
What’s your favorite workout?
Wods that do not involve thrusters are my favorite.
What is your biggest Iron Keel Strength accomplishment?
Every time wanting to show up and work as hard as I possibly can feels like my biggest Iron Keel Strength accomplishment
