If you’ve been in one of my classes you have probably heard me say something like “Hey! It’s time to Embrace the Suck!” or something along those words in a very loud, booming voice. What that means to me is: I know it sucks, I know it’s hard, you probably don’t want to do it, but you can either whine and complain or you can hunker down and smile while you die during the workout. But if you can have that attitude in some of the toughest workouts possible then you should be able to carry over that same mindset to your everyday life.
In your profession there will be times where you will want to say “I’ll get to that first thing in the morning, oh I’m sure so and so will get it done”. That is NOT the ATTITUDE. Stay Late, don’t rely on others to carry the weight, don’t be afraid to struggle, to grind, but most importantly to Embrace the Suck. For further inspiration check the audio below!
